Millersburg, Ohio — For the first time ever, the Hardwood Furniture Guild is hosting a fall Ohio Hardwood Furniture Market, scheduled for Sept. 20-21. This also will be the first show in the market's new permanent location at Harvest Ridge in Millersburg. While the market itself is open only to wholesale buyers, the public is invited to preview night.
For 10 years HFG has hosted a market in late winter or early spring. In direct response to buyer requests, they have added this fall market, which will feature the kinds of furniture that stores want in their showrooms by the first of the year, with a concentration on bedroom and outdoor furniture.
With more than 75,000 square feet, this sold-out show will be the biggest to date. A preview of the market will be open to the local general public from 4 – 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, with a ribbon cutting for the new Arena Building set for 4:30 p.m. Although retail sales are not available, business owners and interested individuals will be able to see the latest in furniture designs during the preview, while viewing the first trade show at the newly completed Harvest Ridge.
The Ohio Hardwood Furniture Market itself is open only to professionals in the furniture business, who may register online at www.ohiohardwoodfurnituremarket.com. Registration is free.
The Hardwood Furniture Guild comprises primarily furniture manufacturers in Northeast/Central Ohio. This group is the nation’s largest concentration of hardwood furniture manufacturers and retailers. The guild is a nonprofit committee within the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce.
