The Holmes Co. Historical Society continues it’s popular “Our Town” series in Killbuck, Ohio on Thurs. March 22 at 7:00 at the Duncan Theater. This series has been popular in the past with 200+ people attending past programs. The Historical Society developed the series to bring local history to every town in Holmes Co. Each community has it’s own local stories, legends and histories and what better way to document this by taking our show on the road. The evening starts with an historical overview of the area using local experts from the community. Our Town – Killbuck presenters will be Bob Porter, Bonnie Smail, and Linda Frenett. After the two presenters we open up the mics for locals to share their unique stories. We also encourage people to bring a few artifacts to show and tell with the audience. Local memorabilia including photos, documents, etc will be on display during the evening. After the program is a wonderful time to network with locals and the society to help keep your local history alive. The Duncan Theater has provided a great place for the program with comfortable seating and large screen projection. Seating will begin at 6:30 and program at 7:00. So come on down, grab a popcorn and beverage and take a look back in time. The program is free, however donations will be accepted to support the societies mission statement. See you there.
