Loudonville Bucket List

Loudonville Bucket List

May 10, 2018

The kids are almost done with school and the sun is up past seven. Summer is nearly here! It’s time to get outside and start to enjoy some much needed fresh air. The western part of Ohio Amish Country is the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors.

Swing through the trees at Tree Frog Canopy Tours Ready to enjoy some high adventures? This one-of-a-kind dual-cable zip lining course gives a birds-eye view of the forest, as you glide along 4,000 feet of cable 120 feet off the ground. The tour takes about 2 ½ hours, with seven zip lines, two sky bridges and two rappels. You can even rent a GoPro to document your tree swinging experience.

Paddle down the Mohican River in a kayak, canoe or tube
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and float up or down the Mohican River. The Loudonville Canoe Livery offers a leisurely 9-mile ride up river for newbies and a longer 23-mile overnight ride for veterans, which comes complete with a camping trip under the stars. There’s a private, unique experience you can book where you are dropped off at the top of the river and float back down.

Camp out under the stars
Bring the family down to an RV park or campsite and enjoy a weekend toasting marshmallows, telling scary ghost stories by the fire and enjoying the great outdoors. Visit Mohican Adventures or Whispering Hills Jellystone Park for swimming, mini golf and many other outdoor activities.
