Restaurant Thanksgivings Will Make You Thankful

November 12, 2015

If you are hoping to avoid cooking on Thanksgiving Day, you have lovely choices in Amish Country.

The Inn at Honey Run will serve Thanksgiving Dinner, 12 to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The Inn's award-winning Tarragon Restaurant will serve a traditional meal and a delicious suite of alternatives, such as garlic & herb pork loin with a candied fig glaze and mushroom and leek quiche, and beautiful deserts such as baked apple tart with salty caramel sauce.

For delectable buffets and menus, reserve a spot at the Amish Door in Wilmot, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet reservations will be taken for parties of 20 or more. The all-you-can eat buffet includes turkey, ham, and broasted chicken, plus home-style pies.

Dutch Valley in Sugarcreek will open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations will be accepted for parties of 15 or more. There will be baked chicken, turkey, ham, sweet potato casserole, dressing, noodles, and more. Carry-out Thanksgiving Meals for five, ten and twenty persons are available; please order carry-out meals by 8 p.m. on November 21.

Chalet in the Valley in Charm offers a traditional buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. by reservation.
